Who We Are
Saddle Point Management, L.P. is an investment advisory firm headquartered in New York City and was founded in 2018 by Roy J. Katzovicz.
Our fundamental objective is to maximize long-term returns for our investors while minimizing the risk of permanent capital impairment. Our strategy combines a concentrated, value-focused approach with shareholder engagement and risk management overlays. Deploying deep due diligence, fundamental analysis, regulatory expertise, earned media and a proven activist toolkit, we work to drive the changes that benefit shareholders and the stakeholders each business serves.
Where appropriate, we engage directly with company management, boards of directors, fellow investors and other stakeholders to help drive change and unlock value, in support of our shared objective of compounding long-term returns while protecting against the permanent loss of capital.
That approach is expressed through two categories of portfolios: a core equity long/short portfolio and the opportunistic sponsorship of special purpose vehicles (SPVs). Behind both is a team that combines deep principal investment experience with financial, legal, compliance, research and marketing expertise.
Our Vehicles
Equity Long/Short
A value-oriented, long/short investment strategy primarily focused on North American and Western European equities. We hold a concentrated portfolio of approximately 8 to 15 expected positions and themes, with a long bias towards high-quality businesses with identifiable catalysts and meaningful downside protection and a short bias towards hedges, such as paired trades, custom baskets and indices, complemented by select fundamental shorts.
Special Purpose Vehicles
Opportunistically, we sponsor SPVs to make concentrated investments with specific themes in a particular sector or subsector.
